Do You Create Compelling Corporate Video?

Creating Compelling Corporate Video

Do you want your employees to not just sit up and take notice of your company’s content, but to engage with it? Here are some tips for turning a yawn-inducing corporate videos into a compelling conversation your staff can join.

 1. One Size Does Not Fit All

Target videos to specific departments, positions, time zones, or languages. If you deliver your new forklift safety video en Espanol to everyone, including your customer service reps in Mumbai, you can rest assured that next video you deliver will be swiftly deleted.

 2. Don’t Beat Around the Bush

Get to the point of your new philanthropy PSA as quickly as possible to keep your staff from meandering over to Facebook for some “multitasking.”

3. Less is More

Short and sweet is best when it comes to content like corporate updates. Resist the temptation to cram all your news into one delivery or risk losing viewers’ attention.

 4. Encourage Interaction

When your employees realize that you are genuinely interested in hearing their ideas and feedback in the form of questionnaires, response videos, and more, you’ll watch your analytics soar.

If your employees prefer to catch up on department announcements on their BlackBerrys, iPads, and iPhones make it easy for them. Offer flexible delivery choices–let them decide how they’ll view your videos.

When you open the flow of communication, and when your content is short and sweet, relevant, and convenient, all will join the conversation to affect change in an organization they are committed to!

Happy producing!
